1.) Teach students how to find “zeroes” of quadratic equations via TI-84 graphing calculators.

1.) Begin Chapter 6 ideas. Introduce/refresh using Graphing Calculators (TI-84). Students use classroom set.
2.) Work on Story Problem modeling the flight path of a thrown rock. Introduce idea of "zero" of a function.
3.) Assignment: Students receive
Algebra 2 — Zeroes of Quadratic Functions Worksheet. Use graphing calculator to verify graphs and complete table of values.
Students compare zeroes via graphing, table, and solving by factoring.
